Question:
I drink lots of water, but am wondering about a high protein energy drink
that I have recently purchased. It is called Pure Energy, it is a vanilla flavored powder that you can mix with water or milk. One serving contains 118 calories, 14 calories from fat which breaks down to 2%, 11 grams of carbohydrates. 15 grams of protein all mixed in 8ozs of water or milk. This is a soy based product and can also have fresh fruit added to it for a different flavor. I need to know from some of you experienced with the protein drinks if this sounds like a good supplement. It has fructose in it for sweet taste. I would appreciate any and all responses. This drink sounds better than some, but it is WAY high in sugar. There are
12g of sugar in the milk alone, so you might try it with water or suagr
free juices. Personally, I prefer the whey drinks. Many can be mixed with 4
oz of water and need nothing to make them tasty. Then you get a gob of
complete protein, with almost no fats/carbs/sugars.
