Question:
Facing the removal of Gallbladder - 9 years after WLS.How will this affect my health?
I am presently experiencing malabsporbtion problems. Not able to maintain proper calcium/magnesium/parathyroid/iron levels. I am concerned that with this surgery I will face even greater challenges. — Susan C. (posted on September 30, 1999)

Get your total protein and albumin checked AT ONCE! If you're not
absorbing, this may be the problem. Hurry!

Please have your doctor test your total protein and albumin. If you're not
absorbing your vites & minerals, it may be because you're low in
protein. Please hurry. You can't mess with this!

Gallbladder removal should not impact at all on your health or lifestyle.
Will not affect mineral levels. Gallbladder is useless except for forming
stones and transferring funds from insurance companies to surgeons.
