Work at GE in cincinnati which insurance is better for this

Surgery? I now have United health Care. Do I need to switch to Athen blue cross and blue shield in Nov. Right now waiting to hear from Dr. and Insurance Company? Suggestions??? Anyone work at Ge in Cincinnati had this Surgery?    — [Anonymous] (posted on August 8, 1999)

Hi--I have United Health Care (FL) and they approved me within 6 days of application...BUT...I had done all my homework and had letters from my ob/gyn, endocrinologist, and orthopedist to go along with my surgeon's letter. Also, my surgeon had LOTS of experience in applying for coverage, and I think this helps often. Good luck--I am now 4 weeks postop and doing great!
