Question:
Isopure Protein drinks what do you all think?
Okay the Isopure drinks have 40 grams of whey protien in them and my biggest concern is absorbing it all....Here are the questions I have... How long should I take to drink it? If I were to drink it in all in say an hour.... do I need more protein through out the day? Should I drink 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 later? Any help would be great... Thanks — Christine W. I like the isopure drinks myself, but we can not absorb that much protein
at one time. Drinking 1/2 at a time is probably your best bet if you want
to get the full benefit on 40grams.

I would split it up, I am not 100% sure on the numbers but my Dr. said you
cant absorb more that like 20 grams of protien at a time. Good luck
though.

I drink Isopure. I only have 1 scoop a day (2 scoops have 50 protein grams
which is too much for the body to absorb at once).
I know when I drink that in the morning I have a jump start on my protein
intake for my day already!

Your body can absorb 30 grams of protein per hour. I drink Isopure and I
split it up. But if you drink it slowly enough ie it takes you about 1:20
minutes to finish the bottle then you're fine.

I have tried the isopure and then I tried the EAS Precision Protein. A 20
oz. bottle has 42 grams in it and the fruit punch tastes like cherry juice
to me. You can get them at GNC and they are more expensive than the
isopure, but I found that the isopure had a soapy aftertaste and I don't
find that with the EAS. I got the powdered version, but I don't like it as
well as the ready to drink. I buy it by the case and the guy at the GNC
where I get it gives me a great discount because I buy 3 or 4 cases at a
time and then I have them when I need them. My nutritionist says that the
body absorbs about 25 grams per hour of protein, everybody is a little
different, so I drink half and wait an hour and drink the other half. As I
said they are a little more expensive but they are worth the taste. I get
so sick of drinking the isopure because they have an aftertaste to me, that
I wasn't getting enough protein and now I am not having that problem
anymore.
