Question:
Pain in lower left area right in front of hip bone....
Hi all, I am having horrible pain on my lower left side right in front of where my hip bone is. This just recently started since I came home from the ER last Monday from dehydration. It seems to come and go but when it hits I am crumpled over in pain. Any ideas? I haven't noticed a particular time when it happens. It does seem to be after dinner within 30 mins but only then. No clue, hoping you can help! Thanks, Tiff (LAP RNY 2/17/04; 245lbs down 75lbs to 170lbs.) — Tiffany B. (posted on August 30, 2004)

I am two years post op. and I get the same hip pain if I eat too much. (Or
that is what I have diagnosed it as). I am usually at work where I scarf my
lunch. It usually lasts ten minuets or so, and I use it as a reminder to
slow down, and take care to stop eating before it happens. Good luck to
you!!! It is all worth it!

Your colon is located right in that area. My husband has colitis and gets
pain in that area sometimes. If you're constipated or not having bowel
movements very often, it could be you just need to, well, go to the
bathroom. Hope this helps.
