Not always true. Certain drugs can effect your liver enzyme levels. Make
sure your docs know exactly what you are taking and what you have taken in
the past. I have my LE's done once a month due to methotrexate usage. If
you have used this drug or something similar, this may explain it. I am
sure there are lots of drugs that are metabolised in the liver.

The past couple of times I have been tested my liver emzymes have been
elivated. So the dr tested my for Hepetitis C. I didn't have it. I only
ended up with a fatty liver. No problem for surgery

I have had high liver enzymes for most of my adult life, and it has nothing
to do with hepatitis, or any other problems, other than an enlarged liver.
Some medications can cause the levels to go high, but don't worry about it,
as your doctor will know what you are taking and is aware of what it can do
to your body.
Best of Luck to you in your journey!

I had high liver enzymes a few years before my surgery.
I was given medicine to level them. To make sure my liver
was doing good, at my yearly checkups, my doctor had me
tested. To make sure I was ok, and I have been.
You may want to check with your doctor on this. Best wishes.
