will high liver emzymes stop me from having surgery?

I,m freaking out here the drs office called today and wants to retest my blood because of high liver emzzymes my friend said this is a sign of hepatisis will i still be able to have surgery with this? please any info would be aprecited i am going to have a terrible weekend.
