Question:
How many calories should I be consuming
I am 13.5 months post op and have lost 100 pounds I walk 3to 4 miles 5/6 days a week and do ab crunches 3/4 days a week. My weight loss has slowed way down to maybe 3 to 4 pounds a month this last month I have lost the same 3 pound 3 time 170 173 no more no less. I started out at 275 now 170 173. I average around 1000 calories a day 100 oz water and 80 to 100 grams protein I don't count carbs but I eat only good ones no white flour no potatoes or sugar products.Should I get more calories to start my weight loss or what.Any commits would help greatly. open RYN 3/27/03 275/173/150??? — Cathy M. Hiya Cathy- congrats on your WL so far ! and even more importantly your
dedication to exercise (I have seriously lacked in that dept.) The exercise
looks awsome, the water PERFECT, bravo bravo on watching those carbs- As
far as the calories, I personally did not count calories (only sugar and
carbs) but for 13.5 months post op, I think maybe that too low (expecially
with all the exercise your doing) with only 1,000 calories each day, I'm
suprized you have enough energy to walk 3-4 miles 5/6 times a week- wait to
see what some other post-op's might say- but I would say with all that
exercise, you should be consuming about 1,200-1,500
Best wishes Kim
