Question:
What happens at the 6 month checkup?
I am going for my 6th month visit next week. What should I expect? My doctor is Dr. Mark Gibbs in Arkansas. I'm in Louisiana. I've already sent them my blood work. It was fine. I started out at 249. Am a VERY slow loser. I wanted to lose at least 70 before my visit but guess who came to Visit me?? ARRRRGH!! I hope I make it. I'm kinda down about it. Do you think 65-68lbs (haven't weighed yet)is good? Thanks for answering. — Marie N. (posted on January 8, 2004)

you are doing great!!! I am also going to my 6 month appointment next
week.please try to remember this surgery is not a weight loss race.think
how much better you feel and how much healthier you are.I think some times
we get caught up in the "contest" of losing to really enjoy the
health benefits. Are people noticing the new you?Are you felling better?
enjoy the jouney and keep up the good work water, protien, and vitamins.Just
think how are life has changed in a short 6 months,we are still only at the
begining.give your self a protien treat and smile we are happy for your
success. have a great new year!!!!!!!

My 6 month visit consisted of weighing me, a b-12 shot, and a 2 and a half
minute pep talk. A waste of my time, I felt. Especially considering I
drove 4 hours to the doctor for this visit.
