Question:
I have the flu, is it okay to take this medicine??
My son and I both have been diagnosed with the flu. Luckily we just got it, so the doctor thinks we should be feeling better in a couple of days. My doctor gave me Tamiflu (think that's what it is called). It is a small capsule. Is it okay for me to take that? I have not taken any pills or capsules since my surgery and am kind of nervous. I had surgery 4 months ago, (I have lost 77 pounds by the way!!!) I just need some advice, let me know what y'all think. Merry christmas. We are going to try to enjoy it sick or not. — sandyh (posted on December 24, 2003)

Last year when i had the flu, My PCP gave me Zithromax (sp?) otherwise
known as the Zpak, it was great and i cleared it with my Surgeon. This yr,
i have a Upper Respitory Infectin and was at the PCP this morning. I am
taking Sudafed, Tylenol and Robitussion DM for the cough. I think you are
fine, but, when in doubt, call your dtr. Heather Open RNY 8-15-02
