Question:
Flying at 12 weeks post-op, anything I should be concerned about??
I am flying to Florida on Saturday, just wondered if I should be concerned about anything like blood clots in my legs or increased altitude sickness? I am just over 12 weeks post-op lap rny. Have flown a lot pre-op without any anxiety but having some fears at this point about being nauseated or vomiting. Insight needed and appreciated! — Rachel W. (posted on April 24, 2003)

I flew at 2 weeks post-op from Cleveland to Florida and was fine. You'll
do great! Have fun!

Drinjk LOTS of water aircraft air is ZERO percent humidity. Get up and walk
the aisle, and fidget. Did I mention drink LOTS of water. This activity and
hydration hels the clot risk, which is there for even non post ops. From PA
to florida is a fairly short flight, that helps too. Then ENJOY your
vacation you going to Disney? Lots of great walking and exercise:)
