Question:
About how long does it take for Walter Linstrom take on a medical necessity appeal?.
I know answers may vary. I'm looking for a general timeframe even though after the denial I'm prepared to wait as long as I have to. From the time I submit my documentation to him until the time my insurance responds, would it be within, say, 6 months??? — mary V. (posted on May 17, 2002)

When I had them do my level 2 appeal, it took them about a month, but i
already had a level 2 appeal date set with the insurance company. Walter
faxed a 28 page legal appeal on friday and my scheduled level 2 appeal was
on the following wed at 2 pm to talk with the appeal board over the phone.
They called me that morning to tell me that they had approved me without
having to do the 15 minute appeal over the phone. So from the time I sent
all my info to Walter till I was approved was about a month. (this after
fighting with insurance for about 4 months). Good Luck

I hired Walter after my first denial to handle all my appeals. When they
sent me the contract it quoted me 30-45 days for them to send my appeal to
insurance. It was sent in 42 days. My first appeal is still in the works,
so I don't know about 2nd or 3rd appeals.
