Question:
I have a question about the stitches and incision. I have a huge apron of

skin that hangs from my belly. When they do the incision and staples, will my incision open up from being pulled down with my sagging apron belly? One of my friends asked me this as I am pre op waiting for insurance approval and I was wondering if anyone had a problem with this and how to avoid your stitches from pulling open. You may want to ask about a support garment. Also you may want to consider getting a panni removal at the time of surgery. It is not the same as getting a tummy tuck when you have reached goal. This would just remove some of the excess tissue and some say it makes recovery a little better. I had a friend who had it done, the surgeon said she needed to do it. Just something you might discuss with your surgeon.
