Question:
Any one have Pancreatitis ever have RNY

I was reacently told that I could'nt have a RNY done due to the fact that I had Pancreatitis along with a Nissen. Which I know that I will have to have the Nissen reversed to have RNY. Then I found out that because I had Pancreatitis I may not be able to have this done. Anyone know of any one who had the RNY after Pancreatitis. I haven't had this in 3 years.    — Pam K. Hi Pam. I never knew that I even had Pancreanitis until the surgeon who did my RNY came to see me following my surgery and said that I had very significant scarring that she had to work through due to previous bouts of pancreanitis I had had. Well...to this day I still don't know exactly what pancreanitis is or what the symptoms are or how I had something that caused that much scarring and never knew it??? But she WAS able to complete my surgery (lap no less!) and I have had 0 complications to date (5 1/2 months out). Take care and best of luck!
