Question:
How long does Pacific Bariatric take to get a date?

I have recently seen my surgeon, Dr. Rumsey and I was wondering how long after you have completed the 3 different appointments does it take to to hear back from PB regarding your surgery date? Im also wondering..from the date that PB called you to give your surgery date, how long after that was your surgery? Thanks Guys..Your all great!!! When I had my 3 appointments it took several weeks for the Doc to approve your surgery and to have all the notes from the other Docs. I called at about 3 weeks out and they had given me a date of March (that was in October) but I got a canellation and got 12/31!!! What a super New Years Eve that was for me. I had Dr Zorn. Good Luck.

The problem I had getting a date was not with Pacific Bariatrics, but with Kaiser!! I could not get them to cooperate and get all my info to PB. Once it got to PB everything went smoothly. I had to have a few extra tests because of my age and medical problems so it did take me a little longer than usual. I also had Dr. Rumsey. He is WONDERFUL!!! Hang in there. The time goes quickly.

I HAD MY 3 DR. APPTS ON JAN, 9TH, 2002. I CALLED 3 WEEKS AND 1 DAY AFTER THIS APPT, AND WAS GIVEN A DATE OF APRIL 22. I WAS THEN ASKED IF I WANTED TO BE PUT ON A WAITING LIST IF ANYBODY CANCELLED. THANK GOD I SAID YES! THEY CALLED BACK IN LESS THEN 2 HRS, ASKING IF I COULD COME ON FEB 12TH, 2002. SO DON'T GIVE UP. TELL THEM YOU WANT TO BE PUT ON THE WAITING LIST TOO! GOOD LUCK.

I also had Dr. Rumsey and it also was 3 weeks till I heard about a date. That seems to be there norm. Not so bad from what I've read from others. My surgery was about 12 weeks after the call but that was due to my own schedule conflicts I could have had it within 6 weeks. Be patient, all good things come to those who wait. Good luck to you. You will love Dr. Rumsey.

I too have Dr. Rumsey. After I found out I was approved by my insurance, Dr. Rumsey called me personally at home the next day. We talked about preop diet/exercies, he is truly caring and wonderful. I received the call to schedule about a week after talking to Dr. Rumsey on the phone, and I was scheduled about 2 mos out for the surgery. Overall, I have had a wonderful experience with Pacific Bariatrics.
