Question:
Do you know of any hospital that will do my surgery without pre-determination.

If any doctors are reading, how can i get a hospital to do my surgery without a predetermination. My insurance company does cover the procedure but wont provide a predetermination for anything at all. "not their policy" My hospital wants 25,000 dollars upfront and i cant pay. Please help me find a hospital that will help me!! Obesity Law told me they cant help. Insurance companys are allowed to do this. HELP!!    — elifritz (posted on September 1, 2001)

Why don't you try showing them your benefits book. Or you could ask your surgeon to sent a letter to your insurance company asking if this is a covered procedure. They do that because just because it is a covered procedure, doesn't mean that they will approve it for you. Good luck! Kim
