Question:
Would like to hear from people who started at around 400lbs. or more
I was just wondering if 55lbs. in six weeks is considered being a slow looser I started at 501lbs. I have not started a exercise routine yet but i'm constantly moving around doing yard work and just being a mother to five busy boys. I'm just so scared that i'm going to be one of the first failures and not loose the weight. I'm also having some diet issues I know they say carbs are bad for you but those just seem to go down better potatoes, pastas mostly. I'm kinda afraid of meats because a few times I have gotten them stuck very painful!!! Even though I can't eat nearly as much as I did pre-op I still eat mostly carbs. Can anyone refer me to some type of good tasting protein bar so I can at least get all of my protein. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds to my question. You Go Girl! 55 pounds pounds in 6 weeks is awsome! That is wonderful! I
dont think you are a slow loser, and once you pick up on the exercising you
will even do better with burning the fat. I have eaten alot of different
protein bars and dont really like them, but I did find at Walmart protein
bars called Carb Solutions and Med RX Protein Plus, and they are good. Low
in fat, low in carbs, low in sugar, and high in protein. Give them a try. I
like the chocolate fudge flavor. I had open RNY on March 15th 2001, and I
have lost 94 pounds....I am still amazed! Good luck to you and you are
doing great!

You are doing GREAT! I know how you feel though. I often wonder if I am a
slow loser too. I started at 463, and have lost 64 lbs in 9 1/2 weeks. The
past month I have been losing 4 lbs a week, and I know as you go further
it's supposed to slow down. It sounds to me like you're right on track. I'm
sure excersise would only speed up your weight loss. I swim about 3 times a
week, and it makes me feel much better. Hang in there, you're doing great!
