Question:
Have any had surgery paid for by workers comp?

I have Kaiser as my Ins. Provider, but I have injuried by back by falling at work and now Im on workers comp. I have had doctors tell me that I have a bulging disc in by lower back and by me being overweight That this puts strain on by back,but I never had a back ache untill I fell at work and now I'm in constant pain.    — [Anonymous] (posted on March 8, 2001)

Hello.I also have a herniated disk at l4/5 I am a nurse and I hurt my back in 1999. I filed for workers comp but was denied and now I am in court fighting them. However, I has wls on 11/13/00 and I have lost 97 pounds! My back feels different, I have had 2 epidural injections also and I totally feel that the weight loss is helping. My attorney said instead of paying for the surgery , I should have tried to get them to pay for it, I have heard of them paying for it, so try and see. Good Luck. Keep in touch. [email protected]
