Question:
Has anyone experienced a resumption of high blood pressure and high blood sugar ?

I am 7 months post-op from open rny. I was able to discontinue medications for my high blood pressure immediately post-op, and for my diabetes within a few weeks. I have lost 140#. For the past month my blood pressure has been significantly high, and my blood sugar is climbing too. I eat no sugar and stay around 800 calories per day.    — Amber R. (posted on June 1, 2000)

i am 5 months post op and i had high blood pressure before the surgery. i went back yesterday and i had to get back on the meds for it. i was kinda upset. i don't know why the blood pressure went down and was good to go for that long and then it went back up.
