Question:
Will High trigylicerides and high blood glucose levels prevent approval of surgery?
I got blood test and urine test results from the lab the otherday My triglycerides were almost 600, I was spilling sugar in my urine and my glucose level was extremely high. Does anyone know if this might be any reason to be denied for surgery? — Mary C. (posted on January 9, 2000)

Honey, this is exactly WHY you need the surgery. My levels were at least
this bad and this is why we need to loose the weight. These are common
symtoms of diabetes, mine is gone now with my weight loss... good luck..

Although it has been answered with style, let me add that yes, this IS your
justfication for surgery! My critical sleep apnea and asthma are gone, as
are migraines, skin tags and another 10 or 15 things! My cholesterol went
from 270 to 115 and with 2 diabetic parents, let's hope I skipped that,
too.
