Will medicaid pay for medically necessary plastic surgery? I live in Ky.

I anticipate problems with my daughter's primary insurer(BlueGrass Family Health). Ky. medicaid is her secondary insuruance. I would like to hear from anyone who has had to use either of these insurers. Thanks for any information you can give me.    — LaDonna S. (posted on January 21, 2005)

Yes, Medicaid will pay for plastic surgery IF it is medically necessary. That is why it is important to have your doctors document all problems that are due to loose skin.
