Question:
experiencing pain on left side above belly button that comes and goes

Hi everyone, I am 7 months out and down 105 lbs and doing great except for the last month to month and a half at all different times of the day (and night also) I experience a crampy type pain in the left side above my belly button. If I get it at night I cant sleep. Called doc, and he ordered a CT scan (negative) and am ging this week for bloodwork. I know its not an ulcer, I already had that lovely experience. I was severly constipated and that is where I had the pain. Did the xray show stool in that area. They did all sorts of test on me and finally, realized I was constipated.

I am nine months post op and I have some cramping just above my belly button and my stomach is very hard right in that spot. I beleive its gas building up. good luck! Deb

You didn't say what type of surgery that you had but with rny your old stomach can fill with gas and cause crampy type pain.
