Question:
Has anyone experienced bouts of nausea during/after having BM ?

Sorry for the icky question in advance !! I am nearly 6 mths post op and have recently had increased bouts of severe nausea with my bowel movements- especially if I become "crampy" or have loose stools (sorry). It goes away with 1/2 of a Phenergan, but it is really annoying. Has this occurred with anyone else??? I have lost 86# - down from 243# pre-op. Kera, Yes! I have had this too. Like you, I end up having to take something, usually 1/2 loratab or similiar because over the counter tylenol and/or immodium just does nothing for the cramps and uncomfortable feeling. I have found that this also decreases the nausea and makes it easier to eat. Its hard to eat when you know its going to make you feel yuky and end up running to the bathroom. The pain meds help me tremendously when this creeps up. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, its uncomfortable. The cramps hurt! I've tried to put a pattern to it but so far have found no connection to what I've eaten, how much or anything! Very strange ~ but as long as I know I have a cure, I can live with it! 118 lbs and counting....
