Question:
Does anyone have any experience w/Wausau Benefits?

I have my initial consult w/my surgeon in Nov. -- I have insurance sponsored by Wausau Benefits - a PPO. Is there anyone out there that has this insurance that has either had surgery or is dealing with them for approval?? Thanks !    — Kewpidoll (posted on October 28, 2002)

Kera...I have the same insurance too. (Im from Ohio) I just had my consult last month and now waiting for my PCP to send the letter to insurance. From what I see on here, I came across the same insurance someone else have and read the reports and find that they are pretty good at approving after 1st letter and they do it soon! Within 3-4 weeks! I'm crossing my fingers here! Also, they would want you to list a report of diet history, thyroid test results, I just took one last Friday and waiting for results so the PCP can send the report out.

My insurance (MedCost) is managed by Wausau Benefits. They were very easy for me to work with. Check my profile for more info on what they required! Good luck!
