Question:
Has anyone had back pain on the left side where your kidneys are?
I woke up from the operating table with sever back pain but I prone to back pain anyway. My doc says he doesnt think it is surgery related. I do have a leak but I dont think the pain is from the leak. Has anyone had this? If so, how long till it goes away? It has gotten better but I cant sit up straight with out it hurting... YES. It was a kidney infection--I started taking antibiotics right away and
it's gone now....see if that is the problem. Does it burn when you pee?
That was the give away for me that it was kidney problem--from the catheter
supposedly.

Hi Carla, it wasnt a kidney infection they checked my urine. I am not sure
if I should go my regular doctor or not since the surgeon doesnt think it
is related to this.

I had the same problem. I was in so much pain during my hospital stay. My
doctor took some xrays just to make sure that I did not break any ribs or
have an rib seperation from the surgery. The xrays were normal. After 10
days of pain I went to my chiropractor. He did a series of adjustments and
muscle massages and I am pain free now. I would take the time to check
with your chiropractor to see if anything is out of place.

Muscles spasms in the small of the back hurt like crazy. Can be caused by
twisting around to cleanse onesself after a BM.Inactivity after foot
surgery, with foot elevated, can cause it also. Chiroprater..Here I come!!!
Thanks !
