Question:
My surgery with Dr. Boone in Fresno was approved by my insurance Foundation a couple

of weeks ago. On 4/10 I dropped off the last piece of paper that they needed. Today is 4/25 and Dr. Boone's office staff still hasn't called me to set a date for surgery. Once you have found out that you are approved how long does it usually take for the Dr.'s office to call and set a date?    — ditaj08 (posted on April 25, 2002)

Hi, I too am having surgery with VSS (Dr. Higa though. Anyways it took like a month from the time my insurance said okay until I actually got a call from the scheduler and that's after I called every week for that month. Sometimes you have to light a fire under their butts because they are so busy. Congrats on getting approval. My surgery is June 4th... maybe it will be around the same time as mine? The sooner the better though... :0)

It took my surgeon's office 2 weeks to call me to schedule a surgery date, but like the previous poster said, I had to light a fire under their butts for them to take only 2 weeks. Who knows how long it would have been if I hadn't called a few times?

I was the person who posted the question. Thank-you both for your answers it really helped. I just found out I have a surgery date May 16, 2002. I'm very excited and a little nervous at the same time.
