Question:
Pacificare HMO-anyone been approved/denied for post WLS abdominoplasty/skin removal?

I'd like to know what other people's experience has been with getting approval for abdominoplasty, skin removal surgery through Pacificare HMO--what documenation they required, results, was there an appeals process that you had to go through?    — Jennifer W. (posted on April 11, 2002)

Hello: I am going to go through the Pacific Care HMO stuff in just a few months. I'm ready for a fight though, they are not the easiest in the world to get along with. Several problems with the approval for the initial surgery. Keep me posted as to what they asked for and what you provided them with,

I have Pacificare and had no problem getting approved 10 months ago and am actually going in for a revision soon. I have heard that Pacificare is not approving them as easily as before. Robin
