Question:
What is this discomfort?

I have had a discomfort on the right side of my stomach about 11/2 inches from and parallel to my scar, I am 4 months post open DS. This is a new complaint and I am wondering what might be causing it and if it requires attention. I don't know if the pain is my stomach or abdominal cavity. Hurts mainly with movement and resembles post op pain. I am still wearing my binder no external sign of hernia, Any ideas? Thanks!    — [Anonymous] (posted on February 22, 2002)

My rule always is to call your doctor when you have a medical question or pain. You don't want to get peoples thoughts and guesses and have it turn out something that needed attention. Good Luck!
