Question:
Since yesterday at noon, I have thrown up all my food. Is this a bad sign?
I was really nauseated yesterday, but very thirsty. I waited until about noon to take my pills. (I have lupus and several other health concerns) and I kept the pills down, but I've thrown up everything else. It is sometimes 'foamy' and thick, clear mucus. I don't know if I should worry, or just go back to clear liquids. I am 7 weeks post-op. Help! — Lisa L. (posted on February 19, 2002)

Is this still going on today? If so, call your doctor. Throwing up
everything is NOT a good sign.

First off - CALL YOUR DR.
I am only 2 weeks post op. I had the same problem not too long ago.
Especially the foamy white stuff. I called the Dr. and they said to stop
taking ANY food or liquid for 8-12 hours, then to go only clear liquids for
a day. They thought there might have been something that just iritated the
opening to my intestines and made it swell so nothing could go down. I did
this and it worked out fine. I hope your is as easy as mine was. I know
it is frustrating!
Best of luck!
