Question:
Did any one else have to have scar tissue removed?

I am wondering if I will need to have scar tissue removed. My incision scar has three big knots of scar tissue under the skin. It feels like there are ping pong balls just under the skin. They also hurt somewhat. I plan on a abdominoplasty in June and if it has to be worked on I guess they could do it then. Does anyone else have these knots, my surgeon said they are not hernias.    — cindy Q. (posted on February 19, 2002)

HI, IAM AM 10 MONTHS POST OP. I HAD MY GALLBLADDER REMOVED IN JANUARY AND AT THE SAME TIME MY SURGEON DID A REVISION ON MY 8 INCH OPEN RNY SCAR. IT HAS GONE FROM ABOUT A 1/4 INCH WIDE AND RAISED TO PERFECTLY FLAT AND ONLY ABOUT 1/16THE INCH WIDE. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. NOW YOU CAN'T SEE THE SCAR THROUGH LIGHT COLORED CLOTHING!!!
