I also have Tricare Prime. They paid for my surgery except for my copay
for inpatient, which I believe was $25 and then I paid $11 per day for four
days. I think though that Tricare has done away with copays, so your best
bet is to call them directly and ask if you will have any copay.

I have Tricare Prime. The only thing I had to pay was the $11.00 per day
hospital charge. Grand total, $34.00. Taxes included I guess!

If you are an active duty dependent, like I am, as of April 1, 2001 Tricare
no longer has copays. I had my surgery on May 14th and didn't pay a dime.

I too have TriCare Prime, my surgery was May 29th, and didn't pay anything
for it. Not for all the pre-op tests either. Just have to stay in the
network and you should be fine.

I also have Tricare Prime. My surgery was April 23. THe only thing I had
to pay was $12.00 for the psych eval. I believe that now you do not have
to pay any co-pays. Since then the only other thing we have had to pay is
the gas to Denver. My surgeon is about an hour to an hour and a half away.
Hope this helps you.

Depends on what type of status you have if your an "Active Duty"
dependent then you have little or no co-pay. If on, the other hand your are
retired or a dependent of a retiree, expect to pay a $250.00 per day co-pay
for the hospital, and a 25% co-pay on the tricare allowable charges on
everyone else. I am retired and boy was I surprised when I got the bills!
