Question:
Has anyone else had a tummy that looks like you are 10 months pregnant?

The upper part of my stomach is extremely swollen. Surgery date was 4/9/01. When I lay down I can feel a large hard-type mass just below my breasts but is not felt when I sit or stand. Could this be a hernia up this high?    — Sandra Y. (posted on June 19, 2001)

If you had open RNY, the mass you feel just below your breasts is where the surgeon placed the retractors. As for your swollen tummy, I have no answer. I suggest you call your doctor.
