Has anyone else had a tummy that looks like you are 10 months pregnant?

The upper part of my stomach is extremely swollen. Surgery date was 4/9/01. When I lay down I can feel a large hard-type mass just below my breasts but is not felt when I sit or stand. Could this be a hernia up this high?
