Question:
how do you cope with anxiety of the wait for ins.approval
Now that I have made my decision to have the surgery I find myself very anxious, frustrated, excited, scared and wondering if I am making the right decision. I am really having problems with my nerves I am very edgy and I have no patience and all these symptoms have appearred after my decision to proceed with approval. Please give me advice on how you passed time between ins. approval and surgery — Diane S. (posted on March 6, 2000)

I am 6 months post op but I remember those feelings like it was
yesterday... what helped me was writing all my feelings in a journal and
also a line I read in a book... '...leaving the results to God, or who you
see as God, builds Faith instead of fear...' it really takes the pressure
off... and also gets you off of the emotional rollercoaster we all have
been on due to the waiting... put it at the top of the first page of your
journal and write, write, write :-) I wish you the best... Take Care...

first thought is, is my surgeon's office going call today.Talk about mood
swings!! My family thinks iam crazy right now. If anyone is on the phone i
tell them over and over if the phone beeps they better answer. Its been
just about 2 weeks and i hope something happens soon. My life is on hold
