Question:
Can I change my height?
I mean, I'm shorter than I thought I was. I always told the Doc I was 5'6", but after my denial yesterday, I measured to know exactly and I'm 5'5". That puts me at a 40 BMI. Where do I go with this info.? Should I get it verified? Is this really going to do anything for me? — Carolynn J. (posted on December 14, 2001)

My driver's license says I am 5'9". I'm technically 5'8 and
3/4", so for the purposes of surgery and making it to a 40 BMI I put
down that I was 5'8".

Go back to the doctor and--just after eating a heavy meal and drinking a 32
oz drink--ask them to reweigh and remeasure you. I'll bet it comes out in
your "favor!"
