Question:
Has anyone had First Health pay or deny coverage for PS?
I am 14 months out, down -124lbs, weight 138, very happy with this but i need a tummy tuck, my arms down, and implants i think not for size but for shape. Can anyone tell me their luck with this insurance company. Any other advice on getting insurance to cover this would be greatly appreciated. Also are the rumors about not being able to get a tummy tuck if you havent had kids yet true? thanks in advance for your help! — Kymberly H. (posted on October 26, 2004)

I have First Health and can tell you the first time it was submitted for my
tummy tuck/hernia repair, they denied the tummy tuck approved the hernia
repair. I eventually had to go back in 8 weeks later for a second hernia
repair as I had a reaction to the mesh, we resubmitted the paperwork and
pictures for the tummy and it was approved the second time, go figure! I
am so happy with my tummy results and am going in for some lipo on my legs
in December and a leg lift next year, of course at my expense. I don't
believe they will pay for anything else.
Good Luck!
