Question:
Can I please hear from long term post op patients about how to get back on track?
I am 10 months post op, down 137 pounds and find my self just putting anything into my mouth now days without looking at fat grams, calories per serving ect. I have not gained weight but very afraid that I might. Can I hear from anyone that has gone thru something similar? Please tell me what your course of action was and if the weight started coming off again. Thanks so much for the support! — Terri N. (posted on June 18, 2002)

Go back to the basics! Protein first, then veggies and then carbs if there
is room. Drink lots of water and make sure that you are getting your
protein in.

I have the same problem, my 1 Year is on July 20th. You are lucky you
haven't gained anything yet. I can eat anything in large volumes and gained
8 pounds. I have since lost 6 of those 8 but it is a struggle to stay on
track. I am only 22 pounds from goal (134) and it feels like it will take
forever to lose that. Try to get back on track and drink alot of no cal
fluids. Good luck to both of us!
