Question:
Has anyone's hernia site get tender?

I just found out that I have a incisional hernia - called my surgeon's office and since it is NOT protuding, they said just come in on my regular appointment....Feb 19th. However, sometimes at night, it's tender in the area of my hernia...anyone ever experience this. I am 7 1/2 months post op...also, am I automatically a candidate for hernia repair?? I too got an incisional hernia post op. I knew I was going to have to have surgery to correct it so I went to a plastic surgeon to see about getting a tummy tuck at the same time. My insurance company approved both surgeries and I not only got my hernia fixed but I had 18 pounds of fat and skin removed. It was great.
