Question:
Has anyone gained weight after 4 weeks post-op?

I am 4 weeks post-op and went to the Dr last week. I had lost 30 lbs in 3 weeks! I was thrilled. But this week i actually gained 3 lbs. I am worried that I won't lose any more. I am eating about 700 calories a day. But find I am hungry all the time. HELP!!! Anyone out there having the same problems?    — JoAnn S. (posted on June 29, 2001)

I am 9 weeks post op and also worried because I gained weight at 5 weeks post op. I think my problem was I wasn't getting enough water and I wasn't having regular bowel movements. Make sure you get plenty of water. I lost the weight I gained + some. Just hang in there...

The same thing happened to me. I gained 4 lbs and thought that I'd never get to lose. My doctor said that sometims the body just needs to regroup and not to worry. Easy for him to say I thought. But he was right, I'm now just 7 lbs from goal having lost 85.
