Question:
Do you have to pay the 10% of your surgery?
to the surgeon before surgery is to be done? Lord I hope not I was told I had to pay 750.00 before surgery but not the 10 % the insurance doesnt pay. I hope I wasnt misinformed its hard enough coming up with 750.00 Thanks, — Peggy G. (posted on April 20, 2001)

Call and ask. Ask the hospital too. They are all different. I did not
have to pay anything before surgery.

Just think, back in 1994, I was lucky to find ANY ins in WA state to pay.
Mine had a $2500 deductible. And of course, going right into surgery, that
was the first expense, all in one big bite. YOW! But hey, I lived to pay
it off and whine about it. So, it was do-able and no, we weren't rolling
in money, either. 6 months earlier I'd sold my wedding rings (1st marriage)
to make a house payment.

I'm sorry if I sounded like I didn't want to pay, that isn't what
I meant. I was just wondering if you have to pay the other 10% the
insurance
doesn't pay before surgery. I hope I din't offend anyone, that isn't my
intentions. I love this site and all the people feel like there my
brothers
and sisters.
