Question:
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to change my old habits?
I realized that just because my stomach is smaller my habits haven't changed. I desparately want to make the risk I took by having this surgery worth it. My weight loss have slowed because I found I can have sugar (I wish I'd never tried it in the first place) and I tend to snack between meals. Maybe I don't need advice so much as a kick in the pants. I'm open to either. Thanks! — C. G. (posted on November 10, 2000)

I don't know wether or not you are still on protein but you can use it in
between meals. I would suggest you making it a part of your life it will
curve your craving for sweets. I never seen anything quite like it. It
takes away your desire for sweets. I have had the experience of using them
in about a week it did not even bother me to see others eating it around
me; I had no desire for them. This will also keep you from loosing muscle
while loosing weight. So, therefore it helps keep your skin from sagging.
Much Love!

Hi! I have overcome what you are going through FOR NOW!! I was grazing and
eating sugar
(in small amounts), but i found that I lost energy when I
ate sugar. I saw a post from Al M. and he had suggested to
go back to 4 days on clear liquids, 4 days on full liquids,
and 4 days on pureed to shrink your stoma and break a plateau.
Well, I tried it, except I did do my protein shake during
my clear liquid stage, and my cravings for sweets disappeared
completely as did my grazing. I am back on track (again FOR NOW:)
but intend on using this again if necessary. I also keep
a water bottle in my hand so I drink water compulsively instead
of grazing- it fulfills the hand to mouth need and my water
goals!! Good Luck- you can do it!!!
