Question:
Doctor not following through

Has anyone had a problem with their doctor not following through when your Insurance denies you the first time? My doctors office has all the paperwork my Insurance requested and they still havent faxed it to my Insurance and trying to get a call back from the Dr. is virtually impossible Any Suggestions?    — kara B. I agree with Ray. When you are standing in their office you give them more incentive to pull your records and copy them. Also, you can review them there and make sure that they have included everything you need.

Send your doctor a fax requesting what you want and send a copy of the fax to your insurance company at the same time. That way, it is a document and requires a response. Phone calls cannot be documented!!! Paperwork can!!! When you send the fax to your doctor, make a notation that a carbon copy (cc) has been sent to your insurance company by indicating their name.
