Question:
Help with Insurance
Has anyone ever been approved and had the surgery and then told that you are approved? Well, this is what happen to me. I don't know how things got so messed up, but this could cost me a fortune. It could finacially destroy me. I am a single person and have to take care of myself.. My insurance company said that the approval number is the wrong one. The girl doing the insurance just took the number form me and then set up surgery. My insurance paid for things that they wanted to. I have no idea how much this could cost. I had an open rny in Janurary. I not sure being slim and healthy will matter if I am ruined money wise. Anything I could do or any ideas you might have I would like to hear form you. Don't give up! I work for a Health Insurance Company. If you are
persistant and call and check on things, even on a daily basis, they will
be straightened out. Check on the status of all your claims, make sure
that they have everything they need to know that the surgery was medically
necessary. Make sure you know what options you do have if you are finally
denied, like medical director review or appeal processes. I know you will
succeed!

Did your insurance company approve it in writting? If they did... they
can't "un-approve" your surgery. Keep a log and document any
conversations you have had or will have with your insurance co. Talk to
supervisors or managers. If it doesn't work file a complaint with the
Insurance commisioner for your state. Please contact me via email if I can
be of any help. Good LUCK!
