Question:
What can I do for pain relief?
Before my surgery I knew I was allergic to Tylenol and any other relations to it. They were kind of afraid to do the surgery because of the allgery but my surgeon assured me I could take motrin along with zantac and everything would be alright. Now I find out that motrin is having the same effect that Tylenol does to me. It's making my eyelids swell shut. I know the only other option will be aspirin and that is a big NO-NO. Is there anything else on the market? — Lorraine R. (posted on June 16, 1999)

Is Motrin what "Ibuprofen" is? If not, what about Ibuprofen or
... what about Aleve, which is naproxyn based?

Are you referring to arthritic pain or headaches. If you are having
arthritic pain, I would suggest MSM. It is so safe on the stomach, that in
studies it healed stomach ulcers in yearling colts. I don't know if MSM is
effective for headaches.
