Are you saying you gained ALL but 30 pounds back, or only lost a total of
30? If it is a loss of only 30, you need to be evaluated by your surgeon to
see what is wrong. If you have gained back all but 30, it IS possible to
lose it. I know a WLS post op that gained 100+, but buckled down and took
off 100+.

What did your surgeon say? Have they checked to see if your surgery is
intact? If you had the RNY, I can't image only losing 30 pounds no matter
what you did or didn't do. I would have them check for a staple line
disruption.

I'm confused by your question! How can you only lose 30 lbs in 3 years?
Like the other responses do you mean you have gained back 30 lbs? I would
say did you fall back into your old eating habits? Have you kept a log of
your eating (when, how much, where)?

Take a deep breath and let's examine what's going on here. If I'm
understanding your question, your total weight loss has only been 30 lbs.
If that's what you're saying it's time for self-examination: (1) Have you
been back to your surgeon to have your mechanics checked? (2) Are you
getting a minimum of 64 oz. of water in per day? (3) Are you getting the
recommended protein in per day? (4) Are you taking your vitamins? (I take
2 multi-vitamins, 1 B-12 sublingual, 1 Vitamin A&D and 4 Calcium
Citrate capsules per day) (5) What's your calorie count per day? (I can't
go over 1200 calories per day or I gain) (6) are you staying sugar free?
(7) What's your daily exercise routine? If you're not doing those
things, you're going to have problems. Sounds like the best thing to do is
start back at your surgeon.

Vivian,
Yes, several of the surgeries have very inferior weight loss and a high
percentage of weight regain after several years post-op. There are several
Yahoo email groups that are for people seeking WLS revisional or conversion
surgery.
What was your original WLS?
Blessings,
dina
