Question:
Can I please get some diet help or tips?

I am not doing good with my weight loss since surgery on July 21,2004. Had gotten to 302 from 324 in 2 weeks. Got dehydrated and had to go back to hospital for 2 days. Went back up to 318 and lost back to 302, now I am 305. What is going on?????????????????    — aspiringmissy (posted on August 24, 2004)

Take a deep breathe Your body is going through a time right now readjusting, first I would bet there is still a bit of water weight there especially if You are not getting in all your fluids then there is always where Your body is hanging on to everything again if you are not gettin in all your fluids. It will come off there is no way arround it at this time in Your journey relax and follow docs orders It will go. :0)

Girl my advice to you is to stay off of the scale as much as possible. To keep my sanity, I only get on the scale when I go to the doctor. I know that I am loosing because all of my clothes fit differently and I am off all meds. So give yourself a break and just do what your doctor tells you to do. By all means, please stay away from the scale until you go to the doctor. Much love to you and God bless!

Stephanie you don't give us a clue as to what and how often you are eating..doing so would help us to help you. Keep in mind that you are still a new post-op and while you may not be hungry you have to eat frequently, small amounts every few hours to keep your body fueled. While it may make sense that the less you eat, the more you lose, if you eat too little the body thinks you are trying to starve it and will hoard those calories and fat. So eat often, and concentrate on the protein. Next, drink, drink, drink your water. Carry a water bottle with you day and night and sip, sip, sip. Even at 2 1/2 years post-op I still struggle to get in my water and wouldn't be able to come close unless I had a bottle attached to my hip at all times! Hang in there, it will come off.

You are playing the SCALE GAME! Don't worry about what the weight says on the scale it is the inches that matter the most and you will find that dropping like crazy. The others are correct. I'm 16 months post op and I still don't feel like eating. However, if you don't you will not lose. The weight will come off. AND DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS. Everyone is different!
