Get thee to a doctor ASAP. Dark blood in the stool is an indication of a GI
bleed!

My Dr warned me that the first stools would be bloody as he had cut into
the intestines. I had my first stool 6 days post op and it was bloody
(dark, old blood) for 3 BM's or so. You should call your dr to check and
see if that is normal for you.

My first bowel movements after surgery were not bloody. That is wrong.
However, a year before I had wls, I had a bowel obstruction and had surgery
then two weeks later started having bloody stools, I called the surgeon and
was admitted immediately to ICU with a very serious GI Bleed. I had to be
transfused with several pints of blood. It stopped bleeding on its own.
The reason was never found.

I'd go to the Emergency Room IMMEDIATLY! I'd also take the bloody poop in a
ziplock sandwich bag so it can be tested. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. DON'T WAIT.
GO NOW.

It sounds like you can be in a little trouble, I'd definitely go to the ER
and have it checked out. My stools were bloody while I was still in the
hospital and I needed to have a blood transfusion with 3 pints of
Opositive, please get it checked as soon as possible...
Will Keep you in my prayers and thoughts,
Deborah
