Question:
What does this mean

please help me understand. i have just become active on husbands insurance and have a policy book that states exclusion as being 'for services, supplies for obesity, or dietary control, except for morbid obesity' my info from insurance uhc uploaded on computer tonight and i cant find any mention of it except "Weight loss programs whether or not they are under medical supervision. Weight loss programs for medical reasons are also excluded." IS THIS THE SAME AS surgical weight loss? please help im confussed. book says one thing, website says another ..i wouldnt consider surgery as a 'program' but not sure. The best thing to do is just call the customer service line with your membership number and ask... usually they will know very quick if it is covered or not.. good luck to you !!!

I have UHC, no problems getting approved at all. See where you wrote "supplies for obesity or dietary control, EXCEPT FOR morbid obesity"? That right there is telling you that they do something for morbid obesity. You'll be fine
