Question:
Does anyone have an idea how to remove the residual goo left from IV bandages, etc.?

I'm having a hard time removing this stuff, even when i give each spot a good hard scrubbing with a shower puff. There's got to be an easier way besides removing several layers of skin. Plus it looks like i haven't showered in weeks! P.S. - I checked the library on this one, but couldn't find a search term which would adequately cover the topic without bringing up several hundred responses. Thanks in advance! Try baby oil, but make sure you remove any of the excess oil afterwards.

I tried ALL of the remedies listed here (except the peanut butter!) and nothing worked that well. I sent my husband to the pharmacist, who recommended medical grade turpentine--sold right there next to the bandgages for only $1. Sure enough, it worked like magic--ALL the residue came right off! It felt so wonderful to have that goo off! I sued a Q-tip tipped in turpentine and rubbed it gently on all the sticky areas--usually did this right before taking a shower so I could get the turpentine off. Good luck to you!

I use something called Goo-Gone. You can get it at Meijers, Walmart and many hardware and drug-stores. You can use it for skin residue, tape, gum, tar etc. I wouldn't get it too close to your incision, but I've used it on my skin for many years. If you check with a medical supply company, you can even get a tape/bandage residue remover liquid, but the Goo-Gone works better.
