Yes, it seems like too much for your lunch meal. I still only eat about 2
oz of tuna salad at 2 months out - and no saltines. How fast did you eat
it? Did you drink along with your meal (a no-no, especially that early)?
Rather than eating until I am full, I measure the food out and eat that
and only that amount. That way, if I happen to eat too fast for my brain
to recognize I am full, then I won't overeat...JR (open RNY, 07/17, -84

I don't think it sounds like too much. I am 7 weeks out and have been able
to eat about that much from when I was off liquids at 4 weeks. Compare it
to what you were eating before and you will realize how little it is!! Just
make sure that you eat very slowly (30-45 min per meal). You can stretch
your pouch out without even knowing it. Don't test its limitations by
trying to eat more when you're done. Remember that we're trying to make
long term changes here and not only want to use our new pouch to reduce
intake (although thats very important) but want to change our behavior as
well. Good Luck!!! (open RNY 8/5/02 -40lbs)

Very similar to what I eat, I'm 7 weeks now, but have been able to eat that
amount since I started food at 4 weeks. I am still not convinced that my
pouch is small enough or maybe I did stretch it, but when I compare to what
I used to eat and when I look at calories, etc. I'm not worried about it.
My nutritionist suggested eating baby carrots or apple slices before eating
the protein so it would make me feel fuller and give my stomach something
to work on for awhile. That seems to help me. I wouldn't try something
that hard for a couple more weeks though! As my husband says - when I feel
guilty now over "pigging out", it's for a slice of toast instead
of a pound bag of M&Ms -- what a difference!
